Olga’s Screens

Olga had several run-of-the-mill divider screens, the type you see at Cost Plus. She wanted them up-sized. More heroic, as befit her Asgaard Art. I was only too happy to comply.

In effect – to surround them with a stronger frame and elevate them on feet.

Since the screens themselves were not costly, I couldn’t justify the fee I’d usually enjoin – Used construction lumber as a cost-savings measure. But had to spring for semi-costly new hinges due to the increased heft of the individual panels.

Yet the project was not without its benefits, aside from the pleasure of making an already useful thing more pleasing.

In the end – the screens became both more imposing and more stable.
