Uncle David’s Rocker
This rocker was made as a wedding present for my great-great-great grandfather, sometime just about the Civil War.
In classic rustic home-brew style, it’s composed of the parts of four other chairs with some new pieces hand made.
The wood is chestnut, oak, pine, beech and two others as of yet unidentified.
It had to be stripped of all its blood varnish the hard way.
But the results were worth it.
