Tantalus, Apothecary Box, or as we would term it today – Bar.

I was looking to recreate the feel of an 18^th Century piece, something that might not look out of place at Mount Vernon or Monticello.  In this I found some satisfaction.

True to intent in the joinery and some of the materials – cherry for the box and alder for the trim and feet, but maybe not so slavish to forms on the redwood top trim.

The five bevutainment containers are scavenged photo lab chemical bottles; and so if you even know what ‘photo lab chemical bottles’ ARE, you certainly qualify for ownership and use.

Natch, if you want your version to host the standard Trader Joe’s booze bottles, we can build your Tantalus to fit.

I’ve included a mid-Century shaker in this go, you need not.

You might want bar tools or a Rodney Dangerfield bobble head.  The edge you get with JohnsonArts custom made – you call the tune, I cut the cherry.
