Having just come into some mahogany and enough (8) antique and vintage spectacles, clearly the two needed to come together. And together they did come in the form of a sliding-front, glass side and top display case.
The floor is 3/4” edge banded and rounded over to which the side panels are screwed from underneath. The top is formed from two parallel strips and kerfed to hold the top glass. The finish is clear shellac.
While this case neatly displays old eyewear, it is suitable for other light treasures, and the case can be scaled up for larger items. Internal lighting, while not used in this case, is always an option available to you.
