Product Description
Prize Cases, as in surprise. Gifts to two worthy friends to whom I wish to express my thanks. But instead they just get the boxes.
Boxes formed, in the main, from salvaged cedar siding.
The external appellations must, for the present, remain obscure; but each recipient will know the meaning of it.
The case and its hinged lid is half-blind dovetailed. The intersection of the lid with the case itself is fringed with copper and round headed upholstery nails.
Inside of each is a removable tray formed using box joints and sporting a central divider which also serves as the tray’s handle.
The external surface of each is of a diluted chestnut stain covered with half a dozen coats of urethane.
The inside is left unfinished to allow the delicious cedar aroma to permeate within.
I must admit to diverging from my usual design ethos for CAVALRY; but since the recipient has a divergent sense of taste than my own, I can only hope that those legs will appeal to him.
These cases typify our custom-made craft, what kind of cases can I make for you?
